Who is Eric Barber?
Having grown up in martial arts and wrestling, Eric began his gym coaching career in 1989 as a certified personal trainer and group instructor. He spent the next few decades as either a fitness manager/trainer of numerous gyms and health clubs, or working in psychiatric hospitals with at-risk youth.
Since 2006, Eric has owned two gyms, Next Generation CrossFit and Stone Gym. In the thirteen years of being a gym owner, he has personally coached over 22,000 hours of classes and hosted dozens of competitions and fundraisers. Eric also competed in numerous weightlifting, bodybuilding, powerlifting, athletic competitions and survival events.
Although he’s trained everyone from youth to elderly, prisoners to professional athletes, janitors to brain surgeons, Eric now works solely with people who feel like their best years are behind them by helping them break free of destructive mindsets and poor habits to find their inner warrior.
When not working, Eric enjoys quality time with family and friends, the great outdoors, a good book or movie, and anywhere quiet with a fresh cup of coffee.
